23 Jun New place, new space – and an exciting new chapter of growth
On 3 July 2023, BellchambersBarrett will be making a move.
From one side of Lake Burley Griffin to the other – and into our beautiful, brand-new office on Level 3, 14 Childers Street.
Our new work home is on Canberra’s city fringe. A stone’s throw away from the Australian National University. And decked out with modern features and facilities.
It goes without saying that our team is buzzing with excitement.
Because who doesn’t like a brand-new office – especially one so beautifully and thoughtfully designed for our team? Plus, it’s double the size of our current place.
At BellchambersBarrett, we believe in building a strong, sustainable office community and culture. So we were delighted to find a space that allows our people to be on the same floor – no matter what team they’re in.
This move will enable our people to continue cultivating connections with each other and mingle with everyone else. Not just those they work closely with.
The move is also a strategic one: to help integrate the new team from Accrue.
With the teams from both firms moving into the new building at the same time, it’s a shared experience that marks the start of our new chapter of collaboration.
To accommodate diverse work preferences and needs, the new office offers different spaces and environments: including tall desks, low desks, collaborative hubs and quiet areas.
Plus, by departing from the individual partner office model, we’ll have more space to grow – and all staff can continue to have their own desk. With no need for sharing spaces or hot-desking.
We’ll also have a large community kitchen, multiple tea point spaces, and 18 meeting rooms – each named after a significant historical figure.
Grounded in light-panelled wall timbers with stunning stone detailing and feature lighting throughout the space, the new office at Childers Street is expertly designed to promote warmth and sophistication.
Every colour and finishing touch has been carefully chosen to bring comfort to our staff.
With wide windows overlooking breathtaking urban and natural vistas – and walls graced with images of Canberra by award-winning Australian photographer Scott Leggo – we’re excited to call this new space our work home.
But beyond that, we can’t wait to celebrate the significance of this move. A new space – and a new chapter – that will make way for our continued growth in years to come.
